A good building is sparing in terms of the materials it uses. It is lightweight, due to its optimised structure. Skeletons are preferred to solids. The footprint is small and supports are intermittent features. The skin is studied in relation to the exchanges it can have with the climate. It is characterised by inter-climatic areas that sometimes dissociate watertightness and insulation.
